About This Blog and Me

This blog was started for a social media class I was taking through the U of C continuing eduation.  I wanted to talk about travel because I am very passionate about it.  I have always been intrigued by different languages and travel lets me experience them first hand and practice my French, Spanish, Italian, and Ukrainian.  At the time of creating this blog I have been to the following countries: USA, Mexico, Cuba, Bahamas, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Austria, Poland, and Ukraine.  There are many more on my list to see and I hope to get to them all within my lifetime.  These countries include: Australia, New Zealand, Venezuela, Argentina, India, China, Egypt and South Africa.

This is my Hub and Spoke Model for the social media class I am taking.  Seeing how my blog is about travel I decided to use Marlin Travel.  This model is for one of my personas - Jake.  Jake is young and very much into all forms of social media and accesses them using his iPhone, he loves to travel and goes on vacation somewhere every couple of months. He would use Twitter and Facebook to receive info on new travel deals.  He would subscribe to RSS feed to check out new content on the website for his next preferred destinations.  He also uses Pinterest and YouTube to look at photos of locations and activities that they could do.
